Launched in 1983 at the British Safety Awards Exhibition The British Fire Consortium was established to provide customers easy access to expert fire safety training, consultation and equipment suppliers across the UK . At the same time improving the business interests and communications of all the members.

Now with over two hundred member companies and still growing, the Consortium has the ability to provide individual and national customers throughout the United Kingdom with all aspects of fire protection supply and service. As one of the largest groups of fire consultants, manufacturers and service companies, the Consortium offers unrivalled expertise, quality and competitive supply in every field of Fire Protection.

Fire safety and quality standards, staff training and product suitability are continually assessed and reviewed by the Consortium at its regular meetings and exhibitions. Consortium members are expected to give impartial advice, be fair in their business dealings, and maintain high standards of commercial conduct.

The 2006 Annual General Meeting
The 2006 Annual General Meeting took place Friday 15th September at Bournmouth, there was an extremely good turnout by our members and most informative talks including one on "Condensed Aerosol Suppression Systems" and "Detectomat" a very innovative fire new detection system. Later that evening a dinner and dance was held at The Royal Bath Hotel.
