    COURSE INFORMATION    
    Duration:  4 days – Monday to Thursday  
    Dates: Refer to British Fire Consortium Quarterly Training Diary  
    Scheduled Venues: This course is held every 6 - 8 weeks at Corringham, near Basildon in Essex. Other venues include; Glasgow , Belfast , Leeds , Birmingham and Bristol . The course is also available in-situ prices available upon application.  
    Level: BSi accredited and BAFE recognised examination to QSP94001  
    Fee: £750.00 + VAT per person (£690.00 + VAT for BFC members). The Course fee includes lunch and refreshments but excludes accommodation.

    PROGRAMME    
   

This intensive four-day programme covers the requirements of BS5306 parts 3:2003 and 8:2000.

 
   
  • Introduction to the causes and means of preventing fires occurring.
  • Fire legislation, regulations and appropriate British Standards.
  • Types, construction and safe operation of fire extinguishers.
  • Extinguisher Inspection Procedures.
  • Basic service, Extended Service and Overhaul procedures.
  • Provision and Siting of Extinguishers.
  • Practical Servicing Experience.

    Day 4      
   
  • 2-Hour Written Examination Paper. *
  • One to One Practical Examinations.

* Arrangements can be made for candidates with writing difficulties.
